Videos in American Sign Language (ASL) are at your fingertips! We hope that our collection of Catholic-Christian songs, sermons, and hymns strengthen your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Use, share, and spread these resources. Deaf Church Ministries in the USA are indebted to the brothers and sisters in Christ who have made these resources available. These resources aid any kind of meetup in the church. Moreover, they are extremely helpful in preparing for church services. They also can be used for an online service or in-person instructional setting. They can also be used for learning ASL religious music.

Anyone language is valued by the members and community who use it. It is no different for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Church is gracious since Vatican 2 for worship and liturgical services to be done in the vernacular, that is the language of the people. American Sign Language. American Sign Language church.

Mass in American Sign Language is fascinating. It is fascinating because the mass is relatively silent. This is normal for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but for those who are hearing and part of the community. It is a whole different world. For instance, instead of hearing music there is no music.
On solemnities we sometimes bring out the drums. Not a drum set, just simple drums that have a strong base. We use drums because the vibrations strong. An example of this is at the Alleluia proclamation. Everyone signs alleluia and the drums are played. It is a loud base sound so that all can hear. In the Bible the trumpet or a horn would sound to call the attention of the chosen people. Much similarly are the drums used for the Deaf. However, not all hear the drums.
We also cultivate an ASL choir. Much time is spent selecting appropriate music to practiced and performed in mass. On major holidays we strive to give back our skills and talents as a means to give God the glory.
