Safe Environment Training

Congratulations to our Deaf Young Adults for completing the Diocese of Orange Safe Environment training! This certification is one of two steps, that enables our Deaf leaders to host events, offer faith formation classes, and much more. We are anticipating our Deaf Community to grow bigger than ever before in our 50 year history!

Merry Xmas! Happy New Year

Merry Christmas! Happy 6th day of the Octave of Christmas. Octave?? Yes, Octave, we as Catholics celebrate Christmas Day for 8 straight days.

Happy New Year!
As we conclude 2025 with the slow rebuild of our Deaf Community, we look and aspire in 2026 to be guided by the Holy Spirit to restructure, meet, plan, and implement a new way forward that: will once again offer Faith Formation Classes, field trips, bible studies, and social outings as done years ago.

What is needed for the above to happen; to start this process, we once again need have all previous and interested members to fill-out either a LiveScan Fingerprinting form OR a DOJ background check for clearance to be involved with adults and minors. Once we have processed all these diocesan protocol requirements, we can really begin having substantial conversations about the future of our community. If you are younger or over 18 years of age, and would like to get involved in our community, please email [email protected] we will get back to you promptly with the needed paperwork.

January 5th, diocesan employees return from vacation and back to work, which means around this time next week, we hope to receive our Deaf Community approved logo to start making our Polo & Jackets.

Celebrant schedule for January 2026:
January 4th: Fr. Mike
January 11th: Fr. Scott (confessions will be available)
January 18th: Fr. Steve (confessions To Be Determined)
January 25th: Fr. Steve (confessions To Be Determined)

¡Feliz Navidad!

Deaf Ministry Videos

Deaf Ministry Videos in ASL are posted weekly. We are doing so because we want a host of sign language videos at your fingertips. Particularly, ASL how to foster discipleship in our Lord Jesus Christ. Providing access to him through the church, revelation, and social media is what we are striving for. Introductions are big in any relationship. So, we want you and others to foster a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.

Starting the faith filled relationship with our Lord and savior is only the beginning. Other parts of this relationship is being in a community of believers. This is because as a community we receive and enjoy the many fruits of fellowship together. His love is within us who follow his commands, ordinances, and precious body and blood.

We communicate with each other at our services in American Sign language so that everyone has access.

Videos

Videos in American Sign Language (ASL) are at your fingertips! We hope that our collection of Catholic-Christian songs, sermons, and hymns strengthen your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Use, share, and spread these resources. Deaf Church Ministries in the USA are indebted to the brothers and sisters in Christ who have made these resources available. These resources aid any kind of meetup in the church. Moreover, they are extremely helpful in preparing for church services. They also can be used for an online service or in-person instructional setting. They can also be used for learning ASL religious music.
