Lake Charles Catholic Deaf Center
Lake Charles Catholic Deaf Center, Louisiana offers mass in American Sign Language Saturday evenings at 6:30pm.
Our Catholic Deaf Center was opened in 1971 and serves the deaf and hearing impaired of our diocese with a Signed Mass and other sacramental needs.
We do not have a staff and the Center is only open on Saturday evenings for Mass at 6:30 pm. The Center is located in Lake Charles and is the only church in the diocese offering a Signed Mass.
Our Mass is followed by social fellowship or a shared meal on certain holidays. This is the deaf communities meeting place for all faiths. We also open the Center for periodic public meetings to inform the deaf and hard of hearing on topics of faith, health, and legal issues.
Our Mass is live on our FaceBook page: Lake Charles Catholic Deaf Center.
All interpreters for personal needs are contracted through a local independent living agency.
