Below are resources for Interpreters. We are providing these links so that you can be a competent Catholic Interpreter. In the Deaf world there are a lot of interpreters but not many Church Interpreter resources. Interpreters can click on the links below to feel more comfortable in the liturgy and its varying parts. Familiar with each part of the mass makes church interpreting doable. Deaf Catholic Interpreter training in our Diocese and elsewhere around the world will find these to be quite helpful. If you feel called to use your American Sign Language interpreting skills, we would love for you to join our ministry. The time commitment is 1-2 Masses per month with a minimum of 2 hours preparation per mass.
