Gospel in ASL 8th Sunday

Fr. Mike Depcik

ASL Catholic Media delivers the bible in American Sign Language. This week’s work is the gospel in ASL 8th Sunday. The Gospel in American Sign Language is then given reflection by Fr. Mike Depcik. Furthermore, ADW Deaf and Disabilities ministry also provide the parts of the bible in ASL.

With these three entities any Catholic-Christian Deaf ministry is able to provide the readings in American Sign Language. You can write out an ASL gloss for the lectors if needed. If however, there are interpreters for your congregation that need assistance. You can share these links to them to help prepare for mass.

Gospel in ASL 8th Sunday takes much time as does every mass set of readings. Accurate transliteration of the text for everyone takes many hours to get right. We thank all of the above for making Deaf ministry a priority so that we can all enjoy the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The gospel in American Sign Language is awesome. ASL makes the text come to life. In fact not only in ASL but in other sign languages throughout the world does the text come to life. Yes, sign language is not universal around the world.
